WarCommons uses three separate systems to recognize participation and achievement.
Adjusted Service Rating (ASR)
ASR determines your current military rank.
These points are earned through meaningful participation in the Field Headquarters, including:
- Replying to topics
- Creating new topics
- Liking posts
- Receiving likes
- Voting up posts
- Receiving votes
- Answering questions
- Having questions answered
The amount awarded depends on the activity. These points are directly tied to your current rank and therefore reflects your standing within the Field Headquarters.
Service Points
Service Points are the permanent community participation currency. Unlike ASR, Service Points do not determine military rank and are not reset when your membership changes.
They represent your overall contribution to the WarCommons community.
Achievements & Medals
They are separate from both ASR and Service Points.
A medal might recognize an important contribution, a milestone, exceptional participation, or another achievement within the community. Such as the exclusive medal for Founding Members.
Ranks
There is one WarCommons rank hierarchy consisting of 25 WWII U.S. Army ranks.
Field Reserve progresses through the enlisted and technician ranks and reaches a maximum rank of First Sergeant.
Field Command begins at Warrant Officer, Junior Grade (WOJG) and can progress through the warrant, flight and commissioned officer ranks up to General of the Army.
Your rank represents your current standing, not a permanent achievement. If your ASR falls below the requirement for your current rank, your rank will be recalculated accordingly. This can happen if you leave your current subscription tier.
