Everything in Field Command + full supreme access

What’s YANK?

YANK is our very own newsletter.
Inspired by Yank, the Army Weekly; the GI magazine of World War II. Every week, a fresh dispatch from WarCommons, straight to your inbox.
Every week: new articles, On This Day, and a short war story you won’t find anywhere else. The best thing is, it’s free, no spam, and you can unsubscribe anytime!

How often will I receive YANK?

Once a week, every week. YANK lands in your inbox on a fixed weekly schedule. No spam, no surprise emails, no promotional blasts. Just the newsletter.

What do I get with Field Reserve?

Field Reserve is free, forever. You get access to all public articles on WarCommons, plus a weekly edition of YANK: our newsletter inspired by Yank, the Army Weekly (1942–1945). No credit card required, no strings attached.

What’s the difference between Field Reserve and Field Command?

Field Reserve gives you access to all public content and YANK. Field Command (€3.99/month) unlocks every paywalled Deep Dive and WarCommons Now article, full access to the archive, the ability to comment on selected articles, access to the WarCommons Discord community, and occasional member-only research notes. You also directly support independent WWII history with no corporate backing behind it. With Field Command subscription you can access the premium content on the WarCommons Premium page.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel your Field Command subscription instantly from your account page. No questions, no cancellation fees, no waiting period. Your access continues until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for.

Do you use AI to write your articles?

No. Every article on WarCommons is written by the author from scratch, based on primary sources and research. No AI-generated content, no Wikipedia rewrites, no filler. This is a guarantee, not a marketing line.

What does WarCommons cover?

WarCommons publishes exclusively in English and covers the full scope of World War II: European theatre, Pacific theatre, Eastern Front, North Africa, the home front, strategy, arms and equipment. The occasional timely piece touches on the WWII history of specific countries, but the publication is international in scope and audience.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. Payments are processed securely through PayPal. WarCommons does not store your payment details. Your transaction is handled entirely within PayPal’s secure environment.

Will my data be shared?

No. Your personal data is never sold or shared with third parties. WarCommons collects only what is necessary to manage your subscription and send YANK. For full details see the Privacy Policy.
